I am so tired again tonight. I don’t think there are enough Heath bars in the world to rejuvenate me tonight.
Dora had a really rough week last week, although yesterday was a bit better. She started off this morning showing her mad through her actions … before we even had breakfast. She soon found herself outside pulling weeds with my husband.
We attended a swim team awards banquet and ice cream social, and then came home and loaded Beth’s pony on a trailer and sent her off to a new home. There were some tears from both Beth and me … but the pony is going to a great place. Afterwards the girls and I went to Michael’s craft store and I reminded myself of the life I used to have … I returned home and kissed my husband goodbye as he left for a business trip. I am now a solo act for a few days. I got the girls to bed early enough that I had a few moments to blog before I fell asleep in the chair watching television.

I had planned to start Dora in school tomorrow, for three hours in the afternoon. After last week, I’m rethinking that plan. I’m just going to see how the week unfolds. However, I could sure use a few hours a day to myself. Incidentally, we lost the school bus fight. We have to pay over $500 to transport both girls. My neighbors pay nothing.
Yesterday while my husband stacked hay in our barn, I took Beth out shopping and for some one-on-one time. Dora helped with hay. Beth and I both enjoyed our afternoon.
We all attended church last night and then dined at a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant staff was quite taken with both girls. The girls both ate several fortune cookies, while my husband and I only ate one each. Dora received some interesting “fortunes.” One said:
It’s time to get moving. Your spirits will lift accordingly. Another one read:
You can make a new start this week, work hard and be diligent. (Wasn't true, because as I mentioned she woke up loaded for bear this morning!) Mine said:
There may be a crisis looming, be ready for it.
Oh, man! Where are my Heath bars?
