As you are reading this, I will be on the road heading to a
resort in Osage Beach, Missouri, in the Lake of the Ozarks region. Today is the beginning of a conference of the
Missouri Coalition of Children’s Agencies. According to
their website, they are:
… the premiere membership coalition who represents abused and neglected children and the people who care for those children. The coalition advances excellence in child welfare practice.
This is a different type of exhibiting opportunity. For two hours tomorrow night, all conference attendees will be encouraged to tour all the exhibits. Apparently, prizes are awarded for documenting that all tables were visited! I am most interested in seeing how the
Attachment & Trauma Network information is received at this conference. Certainly, we also advocate for abused and neglected children and the people who care for those children. One would think we all have much in common. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I was planning on returning Tuesday morning, but my husband’s travel schedule required that I return tonight, so I won’t be home until close to midnight. I’m taking two Border collies with me for company!
Other than a brief exhibit opportunity here locally, in celebration of National Adoption month, I don’t have too much else planned for this year. I’m glad. I am also wondering how well I will be received at this last local adoption fair … but I gave them plenty of opportunity to decline to provide me with booth space!
Julie is getting the booth paraphernalia next, as she has some exhibit opportunities in her neck of the woods. ATN has nearly 20 volunteer staff members at this point, and we are really rockin’ and rollin’! I think it is wonderful. More folks who can join our ranks = more of a voice we can raise to procure the services we need to make our families strong.
