Argghhh! To say this was another crazy day would be the understatement of the century. Hardly anything I planned to do got done…. But that is not to say it hasn’t been a productive day. It is horribly cold here, so walking just doesn’t seem appealing, not to mention since I didn’t stretch yesterday before doing my 4+ miles, my shins are screaming today… This is the first time…late in the afternoon…that I have had a moment to blog.


I started the day by having a telephone conversation with the therapist that prompted me to write the “Who has the issues here?” series. More coming on that later… but it was a good, productive, enlightening conversation. From there I did more ADN business… and then I had a couple of phone conversations with Deborah Hannah, author of An Unlit Path. There will be MUCH more coming on that. Later tonight when I catch my breath I’ll tell you my thoughts on the book. And I have many. Deb hit many of the feelings and issues and topics I speak about often, as well as some I hadn’t thought about. And it was crazy how much our lives paralleled. Actually, I always felt that based on sheer numbers of “hard” kids vs. “easy” kids that we adopted (versus how many kids other folks adopted and how well the kids did or didn’t do…) we sort of hit the “hard” kid lottery… but now I get to pass that honor over to someone else. Someone else actually had a crazier, more ludicrous, less supported and more persecuted existence than I did… Go figure. And yet Deb’s thoughts on why she and her family experienced that… what she was to learn from that experience… why God “allowed” her to experience it… Deb has some very powerful words to say about those things.


I have Amy here tonight… we are having a family dinner to celebrate her birthday yesterday. So I am going to go prepare it, and I will sit down tonight and provide some specifics about this amazing book. Don’t miss it…
